Beautiful Crater Lake
This weekend I was able to travel up the west coast to one of the oldest national parks in country, Crater Lake National Park.

New series exploring the country’s national park system
In a new series of paintings, I will be exploring our countries greatest treasures, the national park system. In each painting, I will give a glimpse to the fora and fauna of a specific park set against its most iconic topographic featuring. In this painting, The Spirit of Guadalupe, I visit Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas.

Tribute to Billy Graham
In memoriam to Billy Graham, my son Zac Kinkade has created a beautiful hand sketch that he has applied to the back of gallery wraps featuring my brother Thom’s painting, “The Cross“. Many of you may know that it was one of my brother’s greatest honors to be asked to create a mural-size image for the redesign of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina in 2010. Rest in peace Billy Graham.

Back on Evine
Zac and I have been invited back on EVINE. This time, we will be on February 1 from 4-6 pm CST. I truly have fun there and always look forward to blurting out odd statements to the chagrin of my producers. And, Zac will be sketching live again so my co-hosts can ask him all manner of questions to his general befuddlement.

Remarque Sketches for Collectors in Bronson!
Zac brought over a piece today that is wildly different than has been his typical effort. In pen and ink, a medium he had never used before, he attempted to collage the entire ”Batman” story arc into a single composition. And, if you look closely at the Remarque...
Wild Piece!
Zac brought over a piece today that is wildly different than has been his typical effort. In pen and ink, a medium he had never used before, he attempted to collage the entire”Batman” story arc into a single composition. And, if you look closely at the piece, you will see that he might have just met his goal.

Pigeon Forge Gallery Event
I just finished an event at a wonderful new gallery located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The owners, staff and collectors made the show a perfect example of controlled chaos and a whole bunch of fun to be at. If any of you are in the Smoky Mountains area, I heartily suggest you drop by and say “hey” to the gang. Tell them I sent you.

Iconic Pieces Inspiration
A couple of years ago Zac started working on a series of bible story inspired paintings. He began the series with “Noah’s Arc” and has since moved on to “Jonah” and of late has started conceptual drawings for another in the series, “The Three Wise Men”.

Comic Book Concept Sketches!
For all of you who are fans of comic-books and particularly the “Batman” story arc, I wanted to share two concept sketches just completed by Zac. The “Joker” and the “Penguin” are probably the two most iconic of the super villains to threaten fair Gotham City and do battle with its legendary “Caped Crusader”. Here, we see initial interpretations of both of these most diabolical of criminal foes.

On the Road Again
“On the road again…I just can’t wait to get on the road again.” Zac and I are heading up the trail to Branson, Missouri and I have to admit I am enjoying the time with “Zaco” or “Zacareinie” as he is often called around the house. Between his time at college and the requirements of his position with the studio, years seemed to have passed without us goofing about like we did as he grew up.

Generations Tour & Signing
The Generations Tour kicked off in August featuring Zac and Patrick Kinkade, Thomas Kinkade’s nephew and brother. During these events collectors can schedule one-on-one appointments with Pat to get their Kinkade art highlighted, signed and remarqued with a special sketch.

New Art Release: Get Your Kicks on Route 66
There is probably nothing more iconic in relation to American vacation plans than the idea of a “road trip”. And there is probably nothing more spiritually tied to that sojourner’s dream than Route 66, the “Main Street of America”. Indeed, the beauty of this country and the fun of its people are both to be found along this fabled ribbon of asphalt in addition to some “crazy by-way kitsch” that is the source of both memories and amusement. Join me as I begin this journey and travel this 2,500 mile thoroughfare from Chicago to Santa Monica stopping at many places along the way.

Zac Kinkade Memphis Signing Event
Zac Kinkade unveiled his latest artwork – Get Your Kicks on Route 66 – at the Inspiration Art Gallery in Memphis. In addition to the original Get Your Kicks on Route 66 sketch, collectors were treated to several other beautiful original black and white sketches, including King of Blues, Million Dollar Quartet, Sun Studio, and Huck Fin, all of which sold.
