On the Road Again
“On the road again…I just can’t wait to get on the road again.” Zac and I are heading up the trail to Branson, Missouri and I have to admit I am enjoying the time with “Zaco” or “Zacareinie” as he is often called around the house. Between his time at college and the requirements of his position with the studio, years seemed to have passed without us goofing about like we did as he grew up. But with the flights, drives, and nights spent at hotels, it has been hard for us not to notice each other in all the passing hubbub. And happily, as it is happening, the “shtick” is back running, the confidences are reaffirmed, and the relationship has proven as twisted as ever. So, with all apologies to Willie Nelson, “The life I love is causing trouble with my son. I just can’t wait to get on the road again.” I have included a few black and white oil studies Zac did for the collectors we will meet this weekend. I hope you all enjoy them.
